all about the music
At MusicAmaze,
it's all about the music and the artist. Here, we are also
songwriters and musicians -and hereby take back control of
our artistic destiny from the bankers and executives. Technology
and talent allow us to compete in quality with any major company
at a much lower production cost - and the internet allows
us to promote and distribute product. Since we do not have
to sell a million units to consider a product successful,
there is no pressure to compromise on artistic merit or pursue
the "lowest common denominator".
The songwriting,
performance, recording and mixing together of the results
IS THE THING for us. We hand-pick a select few artists, but
do not tie them to exclusive multi-year contracts. When we
agree to produce a CD, it is because everyone WANTS to work
together in an artistic partnership on that project. With
our staff and recording studio, we can produce any style or
genre of music - but we are most interested in talented ROCK,
POP, R&B and ALTERNATIVE original artists.
At MusicAmaze,
we work very hard to deserve any financial success that may
be realized and all net profits are split equally between
the artist and the company - but we make music BECAUSE WE
HAVE TO (it is in our blood). We hope that you enjoy (and
even purchase) some of our creative effort. We much appreciate
your support and patronage.
Embracing
the Internet
At
MusicAmaze, we embrace the internet as a wonderous way to
promote and distribute great music and related art. It has
very real potential to free the control of artists by a few
giant corporate media monoliths that care mostly about huge
money. Eventually - as the internet evolves - most music,
cover-art and video will be delivered directly to your computer
by downloading and/or streaming it through a full band-width
connection in real time at very high fidelity. This will help
bring fans closer to the artists, and give audiences more
of a say in what becomes successful and even much of what
gets produced.
Another very
important benefit from this technology will be a massive reduction
in the need to use plastic, paper, shrinkwrap, oil, hazardous
chemicals and the energy it takes to turn these raw materials
into a CD or DVD - then truck them around. This will be a
more sustainable approach to providing art and entertainment
to consumers that also helps protect the environment of Earth
the only friendly planet we know of. At MusicAmaze, we pledge
to minimize wasteful methods of manufacturing - while providing
the very best of quality in original music and art to you
our patrons.
Artful
Agreements
MusicAmaze is
into quality over quantity exceptional original artists
who can really sing and play real music and write great songs
(we are not a sample-and- loop assembly line). Producing a
great record is a success in itself. Selling a lot of records
-a different measure of success - is a matter of the public's
patronage. As long as we keep offering great productions of
honestly talented artists with good songs, it will (we hope)
be noticed - and earn a loyal support base.
Details vary
in our recording agreements - sometimes MusicAmaze provides
everything in-house to record, produce, mix and master an
album (the artist provides the songs and musicians). The company
owns the rights to the sound recording - the artist owns the
song copyrights and publishing rights. Both the costs and
the net proceeds are split equally for each song produced.
The artist is independent, and can make other agreements about
other songs - anytime - with anyone they choose in pursuit
of their career path. Sometimes - in other special recording
agreements - the artist has a producer or engineer already.
In that case, the artist covers these (and any other) outside
costs separately.

We are a new
company, with limited time and capitol, so we can produce
only a few of the best artists we can find (along with at
least one album per year to be released by our in-site recording
band the Local Group). Public
support for our creative enterprise will allow us to be able

if you happen to be a super-talented singer or musician (and
